Welcome to EZ Trader ("EZ Trader," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the EZ Trader website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, behave in a way that harms other users, attempt to defeat technical safeguards, or use the Service for unlawful purposes.
EZ Trader is an educational platform. We provide lessons, simulators, AI-generated explanations, market commentary, and community features designed to teach concepts about trading and investing.
Nothing on the Service — including lessons, simulator results, AI mentor responses, market breakdowns, push notifications, leaderboards, community posts, or alerts — constitutes investment, legal, tax, accounting, or financial-planning advice. We are not a registered broker-dealer or investment adviser. No content on the Service should be relied on as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security or other asset.
Real-money decisions are entirely your responsibility. Before making any such decision, consult a licensed professional who can consider your full financial situation.
The Service includes a paper-trading simulator that uses delayed market data and simulated cash. No real funds are placed in any real market. Simulated performance has inherent limitations: it does not account for slippage, commissions, taxes, liquidity, emotions, or market-impact effects that real trading involves. Past simulated performance is not indicative of any real-world result.
Market data displayed in the Service may be delayed by 15 minutes or more. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any quote, chart, or data point.
"Ezra" is a large-language-model-powered conversational interface. Ezra is trained and instructed to teach concepts and to refuse personalized investment recommendations, price predictions, allocation advice, and tax/legal advice. However, language-model behavior is probabilistic and may occasionally produce inaccurate, outdated, or unintended content. You must not rely on Ezra's responses for any real-money decision.
You may not use Ezra to attempt to extract investment advice, generate disallowed content, circumvent its guardrails, or for any purpose other than personal learning.
The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers (currently "Pro" and "Mastermind"), as well as one-time purchases for in-app credits ("Trade Gems"). All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars and are subject to change with notice. Paid subscriptions auto-renew at the then-current price each billing period until cancelled.
Free trials, if offered, convert to paid subscriptions at the trial's end unless you cancel before then. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Trade Gems and other in-app credits are non-refundable, have no cash value, and may not be transferred, sold, or redeemed for cash. We may modify the Trade Gem catalog, prices, and earning rules at any time.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your selected payment method for all amounts due.
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. We may, at our sole discretion, issue a prorated refund in cases of billing error or extended service outage. To request a refund, email hello@eztrader.app within 14 days of the charge.
You agree not to:
Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service (journal entries, community posts, etc.). By submitting content, you grant EZ Trader a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and use that content as necessary to operate and improve the Service. We may remove content that violates these Terms.
The Service, including all lessons, software, designs, logos, and text we produce, is owned by EZ Trader and protected by copyright and other laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
The Service may link to or integrate third-party services (brokerages, data providers, payment processors). We are not responsible for the products, services, or content of any third party. Your interactions with any third party are solely between you and that party. Some third-party links may be affiliate links, in which case we may earn a referral fee.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of data.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EZ Trader and its officers, employees, affiliates, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) US $100.
You expressly acknowledge that EZ Trader is not liable for any losses you incur on real money trades, whether or not those trades were informed by content you encountered on the Service.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EZ Trader and its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claim, demand, loss, or damage arising out of (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in [JURISDICTION TBD — your lawyer fills this in]. You waive any right to participate in a class action against EZ Trader.
You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@eztrader.app within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE — your lawyer fills this in], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. To the extent any dispute is not subject to arbitration, it shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in [VENUE].
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via the Service. Your continued use after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes acceptance of them.
